This new range of collectable figures by Jim Bamber is his tribute to the un-sung heroes of the F1 scene, the pit lane mechanics. “They are the guys who do the tough work” says Jim “and they often make the difference between winning and losing”.

To reinforce Jim’s message the range supports the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust, with a royalty on every sale and all of the teams were quick to support the project because of that.

Each of the 10 figures is approximately 13 cm high and they are superbly detailed. They come in presentation packaging, which features a cartoon by Jim and each contains a certificate of authenticity, with a message from the Trust’s Chairman Sir Jackie Stewart.

Jim Bamber is perhaps best known for his “Bamber view” cartoon in the weekly Autosport magazine, which he has produced for over 20 years. Over the years, Jim has developed a wide following in the motorsport community. Once described as a “legend in his own lunchtime” by Eddie Jordan, Jim realised that he had made a lasting impression when Stirling Moss once asked for his autograph.

The range is now on sale in ‘high street’ and motorsport outlets including www.grandprixlegends.com
Priced at £19.99 each they seem sure to be a great success.
