Keith was very worried having received a letter from a finance company regarding overdue repayments. The letter said that they were taking him to court to recover the whole amount.

He spoke to a Lawyer by phoning the Helpline. She went through the letter with him and was able to reassure him that the letter was not in fact a court summons, but a carefully worded demand. The lawyer helped Keith to review his debts and prepare a plan to contact all his creditors and offer a reasonable repayment plan taking into account his income and expenditure.

The plan was accepted by his creditors who were reassured that Keith had things
under control.
