John was worried about a member of his team at work. He rang the Helpline who suggested that maybe the employee was going through a difficult time at home. Fiona decided to ask them and found that they had suffered a bereavement but had not told anyone at work.

John was able to allow the employee time off work to make arrangements at home. John also suggested that the employee use the Helpline themselves.

He does not know if they did or did not contact the Helpline but things have improved and the employee seems much happier at work.
